JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Coordinator helps international students and supports students and faculty who want to study abroad. They work with the Center’s director to provide guidance and assistance. Apply Link
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help faculty and students with study abroad programs.
- Help place Fulbright scholars and international students.
- Assist international students with paperwork for campus jobs and social security cards.
- Help with budgeting and planning events.
- Do minor computer tasks and office duties.
- Manage the Center’s social media accounts.
- Do other tasks assigned by the Director.
- REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowing how a big school or college operates and understanding how things are done there.
- Being familiar with the rules for students from other countries studying in the United States
- Understanding the policies and guidelines of a complicated place, like a school.
- REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills: Good at talking and writing, and can connect well with faculty, staff, and students from different backgrounds.
- Follows instructions well: Can understand and carry out both spoken and written directions, and keeps information private.
- Tech-savvy: Proficient in using computer software like MS Office applications.
- Works well independently: Can handle tasks with minimal supervision.
- Appreciates diversity: Understands and respects the differences among University members, including academic, ethnic, socio-economic, physical, and gender diversity.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Office management experience of at least three years.
- Experience with managing study abroad programs.
- Working knowledge of at least one foreign language.
- Be a US citizen or permanent resident.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Good at analysing, writing, and communicating.
- Created and carried out study abroad programs.
- Budgeted Annual Salary
$44,000.00
